Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work View from Pont Aberglaslyn looking west towards Moel Hebog and the Aberglaslyn woods, Caernarvanshire, North Wales by Copley Fielding for GBP 1,280.00 (€ 1,493.37). This price was achieved in the auction British and European Art at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Copley Fielding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive view of Greenwich, London in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 25,095.00 (€ 36,062.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View from Pont Aberglaslyn looking west towards Moel Hebog and the Aberglaslyn woods, Caernarvanshire, North Wales von Copley Fielding für GBP 1.280,00 (€ 1.493,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Copley Fielding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An extensive view of Greenwich, London im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.095,00 (€ 36.062,88).
