Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Scottish landscape by Copley Fielding was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 auction at Christies in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,407.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Copley Fielding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive view of Greenwich, London in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 25,095.00 (€ 36,062.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Scottish landscape von Copley Fielding wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.407,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
