Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Copley Fielding could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in August 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Eclectic | New York auction, the work Claudian Capriccio changed hands for USD 1,764.00 (€ 1,494.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Copley Fielding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive view of Greenwich, London in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 25,095.00 (€ 36,062.88).
