Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,758.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Copley Fielding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An extensive view of Greenwich, London in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 25,095.00 (€ 36,062.88).
