Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Copley Fielding could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work Cattle On A Track Near Arundel, Sussex changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,255.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Copley Fielding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive view of Greenwich, London in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 25,095.00 (€ 36,062.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Copley Fielding konnte im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit Cattle On A Track Near Arundel, Sussex für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.255,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Copley Fielding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An extensive view of Greenwich, London im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.095,00 (€ 36.062,88).
