Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Rockport by Anthony Thieme for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,690.11). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Thieme achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rockport von Anthony Thieme für USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.690,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Thieme erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening Light on the Suwannee River im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 119.422,79).
