Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rockport Dock Scene by Anthony Thieme was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman auction at Christies in New York in March 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,093.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Thieme achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rockport Dock Scene von Anthony Thieme wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.093,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Thieme erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening Light on the Suwannee River im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 119.422,79).
