Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anthony Thieme could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Quarry In Rockport changed hands for USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,747.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Thieme achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthony Thieme konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Quarry In Rockport für USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.747,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Thieme erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening Light on the Suwannee River im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 119.422,79).
