Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vigil I by Anthony Cudahy was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 23,940.00 (€ 22,019.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Cudahy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work the gate, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78).
