Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anthony Benjamin could be acquired at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British and Irish Art auction, the work Still Life With Artichoke changed hands for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,069.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Benjamin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,647.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthony Benjamin konnte im November 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Still Life With Artichoke für GBP 720,00 (€ 1.069,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Benjamin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.647,62).
