Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included the work December sunset by Anthony Benjamin. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,764.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Benjamin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2010 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,647.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit December sunset von Anthony Benjamin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.764,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Benjamin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.647,62) versteigert wurde.
