Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Dunes, Oceano, California' by Ansel Adams. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,378.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Dunes, Oceano, California' von Ansel Adams zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.378,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ansel Adams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 988.000,00 (€ 807.849,55).
