Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Return from the Flight into Egypt by Annibale Carracci was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 485,100.00 (€ 419,927.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annibale Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 6,063,500.00 (€ 5,438,604.36).
