Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work An extensive coastal landscape with a procession of figures in the foreground and buildings on the water (recto); Study of a crouching man, his profile and a foot (verso) by Annibale Carracci was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 auction at Christies in London in July last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,770.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annibale Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 6,063,500.00 (€ 5,438,604.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit An extensive coastal landscape with a procession of figures in the foreground and buildings on the water (recto); Study of a crouching man, his profile and a foot (verso) von Annibale Carracci wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.770,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Annibale Carracci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna And Child With Saint Lucy And The Young Saint John The Baptist im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.063.500,00 (€ 5.438.604,36).
