Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction Centuries of Style: Silver, European Ceramics, Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes, which included the work Two sisters, both in white dresses and gold jewellery, one with her hand on the other's shoulder, whose right hand rests on her chest by Anne Mee. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,557.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Mee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Captain And Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Grosvenor (1764-1851) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 19,700.00 (€ 25,114.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Centuries of Style: Silver, European Ceramics, Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two sisters, both in white dresses and gold jewellery, one with her hand on the other's shoulder, whose right hand rests on her chest von Anne Mee zur Versteigerung kam.
