Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Raglan Collection: Wellington, Waterloo and The Crimea And Works of Art from the Collection of the Marquesses of Londonderry, which included the work Frances Crosbie, née Wesley, in white dress, multi-strand pearl necklace, upswept curling hair by Anne Mee. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 921.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Mee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Captain And Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Grosvenor (1764-1851) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 19,700.00 (€ 25,114.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Raglan Collection: Wellington, Waterloo and The Crimea And Works of Art from the Collection of the Marquesses of Londonderry durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frances Crosbie, née Wesley, in white dress, multi-strand pearl necklace, upswept curling hair von Anne Mee zur Versteigerung kam.
