Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A young lady, facing right in white dress tied in bows at shoulders, curling short brown hair by Anne Mee was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2003. The price achieved of GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,459.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Mee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Captain And Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Grosvenor (1764-1851) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 19,700.00 (€ 25,114.72).
