Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work British Algae Vol. Iii' by Anna Atkins was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2016. It achieved a price of EUR 219,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22 %. Other works by Anna Atkins have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 343,959.44) in May 2004 for the work Photographs of British Algæ.
