This artwork by Angki Purbandono achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. In the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work TV Lovers sold for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 7,827.28) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 45,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Angki Purbandono; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Golden Dragon (Noodle Theory Series) sold at auction in May 2012 with the realized price of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,068.42).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Angki Purbandono erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit TV Lovers für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 7.827,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 45.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Angki Purbandono; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Golden Dragon (Noodle Theory Series) im Mai 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.068,42).
