Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled 12, from The Meyer Shapiro Portfolio by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2015. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,605.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Die Arbeit Untitled 12, from The Meyer Shapiro Portfolio von Andy Warhol kam im Februar 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.605,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
