Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kiku by Andy Warhol was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2010. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,103.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kiku von Andy Warhol wurde im März 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 23.103,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
