Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beatles by Andy Warhol was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in October 2011. The price achieved of GBP 46,850.00 (€ 54,219.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beatles von Andy Warhol wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 46.850,00 (€ 54.219,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
