Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andy Goldsworthy could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction auction, the work Trench | dug over two days | earth brought to an edge | clay supported with sticks | cold, darkly overcast but no rain | a hot day would have caused the clay to dry out | a wet day would have washed the dirt away changed hands for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,818.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range o Admittedly, works by Andy Goldsworthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework in February 2005 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 41,763.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andy Goldsworthy konnte im Juni 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction wechselte die Arbeit Trench | dug over two days | earth brought to an edge | clay supported with sticks | cold, darkly overcast but no rain | a hot day would have caused the clay to dry out | a wet day would have washed the dirt away für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.818,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andy Goldsworthy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 41.763,69).
