It achieved a price of USD 100,312.50 (€ 88,874.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day Dream in November last year with an auction result of USD 23,290,000.00 (€ 22,561,270.95).

Die Arbeit Brandywine in Winter von Andrew Wyeth wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 100.312,50 (€ 88.874,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrew Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Day Dream im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.290.000,00 (€ 22.561.270,95).
