Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Double Ray Eyes) by Andrew Mania was sold in the Contemporary Art | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 890.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Mania - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (White), which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,011.31).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.008,00 (€ 890,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
