Die Arbeit Empire State Building von Andreas Feininger kam im April 2021 bei VAN HAM zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.580,00 und übertraf damit den zuvor vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreis um 29%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andreas Feininger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Photojournalist (Dennis Stock, Magnum Photographer) im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.125,00 (€ 46.343,25).
