the pair of engravings with drypoint, circa 1470s, both watermark Crown in a Circle, later impressions, trimmed inside the platemark but well outside the subject, just touching the subject at the right edge of the right sheet, the left sheet with a small backed hole in the drapery of the man at left, a stain at lower right, another, smaller stain at the top of the staff at right, some other minor stains and vertical central folds to both sheets, the right sheet inscribed .MAR.AN. at lower left

The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Triumph Of Alexandria in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 11,654,000.00 (€ 10,505,724.33).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.149,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Mantegna erzielen.
