Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andrea Locatelli could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny auction, the work Bandits In A Rocky Landscape: A Pair changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,364.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Locatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Roman Forum in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,082,500.00 (€ 829,311.27).
In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny wechselte die Arbeit Bandits In A Rocky Landscape: A Pair für USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.364,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00.
