The work A capriccio Roman landscape with the Colosseum; and A capriccio Roman landscape with The Forum, the Arch of Septimius Severus and the Temple of Saturn, the Campidoglio beyond by Andrea Locatelli was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,298.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Locatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Roman Forum in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,082,500.00 (€ 829,311.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.298,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Locatelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Roman Forum im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.082.500,00 (€ 829.311,27).
