Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Italianate wooded landscape with classical ruins, a centurion with other figures and a dog; and A capriccio of a pyramid with two centurions, three figures and a dog, classical ruins beyond by Andrea Locatelli was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 105,615.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andrea Locatelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Roman Forum in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,082,500.00 (€ 829,311.27).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 105.615,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrea Locatelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Roman Forum im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.082.500,00 (€ 829.311,27).
