The work Virgin and Child by Andrea Andreani was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,461.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Andrea Andreani; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Allegory of Death sold at auction in January 2019 with the realized price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,184.91).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.461,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Andrea Andreani; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Allegory of Death im Januar 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.184,91).
