Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Les Méandres De La Seine by André Barbier. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 6,005.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by André Barbier have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Notre Dame Et Le Quai Aux Fleurs was auctioned for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,948.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Méandres De La Seine von André Barbier zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 6.005,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von André Barbier konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Notre Dame Et Le Quai Aux Fleurs für GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.948,18) versteigert.
