Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brouillard Sur L'Eau by André Barbier was auctioned at Christies in Paris in September 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,527.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by André Barbier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Notre Dame Et Le Quai Aux Fleurs in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,948.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brouillard Sur L'Eau von André Barbier kam im September 2004 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.527,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Barbier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Notre Dame Et Le Quai Aux Fleurs im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.948,18).
