This artwork by Anatoly Shapovalov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2009. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Prior to the performance sold for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,426.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anatoly Shapovalov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Before The Performance, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,006.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anatoly Shapovalov erzielte im März 2009 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Prior to the performance für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.426,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anatoly Shapovalov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Before The Performance beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.006,44) versteigert wurde.
