Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A short break by Anatoly Shapovalov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,441.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Anatoly Shapovalov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Before The Performance in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,006.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A short break von Anatoly Shapovalov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.441,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anatoly Shapovalov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Before The Performance im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.006,44).
