This price was achieved in the auction Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anatoly Brusilovsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Monuments In The Desert, 1962, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 28,000.00 (€ 17,985.61).
