In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Ducks in the lily pond by Anatoly Shapovalov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,041.40), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anatoly Shapovalov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Before The Performance, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,006.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ducks in the lily pond von Anatoly Shapovalov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.041,40) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Anatoly Shapovalov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Before The Performance beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.006,44) versteigert wurde.
