It achieved a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,543.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Admittedly, works by Anatoly Shapovalov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Before The Performance in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,006.44).

Die Arbeit A ballerina at her dressing table von Anatoly Shapovalov kam im Januar 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.543,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anatoly Shapovalov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Before The Performance im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.006,44).
