Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work M.v.M by Amy Bessone was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 486.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amy Bessone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dandy and Raccoon in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,381.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit M.v.M von Amy Bessone im September 2012 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 625,00 (€ 486,15) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amy Bessone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dandy and Raccoon im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.381,63).
