Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Having Hawaii, 2004 by Amy Bessone for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,159.76). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Amy Bessone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Dandy and Raccoon in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,381.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Having Hawaii, 2004 von Amy Bessone für USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.159,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amy Bessone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Dandy and Raccoon im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.381,63).
