The work Welcome by Alvaro Barrington was auctioned at Christies in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 72,341.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Welcome is the most expensive artwork by Alvaro Barrington that we have observed at auctions so far.
