In July this year Phillips in 17 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included the work Painting: PP18-38 by Alvaro Barrington. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,510.00 (€ 14,981.85), 65% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alvaro Barrington have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Welcome in October this year with an auction result of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 72,341.50).

Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 17 - die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Painting: PP18-38 von Alvaro Barrington zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.510,00 (€ 14.981,85) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alvaro Barrington auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Welcome im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 72.341,50).
