Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alphonse Birck could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Washerwomen at an oasis changed hands for GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,691.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alphonse Birck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Discussion Près Du Puit, which sold at auction in May 2015 for EUR 5,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alphonse Birck konnte im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Washerwomen at an oasis für GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.691,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alphonse Birck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Discussion Près Du Puit beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für EUR 5.850,00 versteigert wurde.
