Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Resting in the midday sun by Alphonse Birck was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in April 2015. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,888.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alphonse Birck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Discussion Près Du Puit, which sold at auction in May 2015 for EUR 5,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Resting in the midday sun von Alphonse Birck wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.888,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alphonse Birck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Discussion Près Du Puit beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für EUR 5.850,00 versteigert wurde.
