Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work For Your Eyes Only (2) by Allen Ruppersberg for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,490.35). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Ruppersberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paper Drive (For Claire) in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 57,500.00 (€ 51,551.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit For Your Eyes Only (2) von Allen Ruppersberg für USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.490,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allen Ruppersberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paper Drive (For Claire) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.500,00 (€ 51.551,01).
