Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work For Your Eyes Only (1) by Allen Ruppersberg. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,225.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Allen Ruppersberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paper Drive (For Claire) in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 57,500.00 (€ 51,551.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit For Your Eyes Only (1) von Allen Ruppersberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.225,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allen Ruppersberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paper Drive (For Claire) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.500,00 (€ 51.551,01).
