Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Miss Finch, Three-Quarter Length, Seated, Holding A Garland Of Flowers by Allan Ramsay was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,136.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Ramsay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Anne, Lady North (c. 1740-1797), wife of Frederick North, 2nd Baron North, three-quarter-length, in a pink dress and lace shawl with roses at her décolletage, and a lace headdress, by a column in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 421,250.00 (€ 535,202.87).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Anne, Lady North (c. 1740-1797), wife of Frederick North, 2nd Baron North, three-quarter-length, in a pink dress and lace shawl with roses at her décolletage, and a lace headdress, by a column im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.250,00 (€ 535.202,87).
