Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter Length, Seated At A Harpsichord, Holding A Sheet Of Music by Allan Ramsay. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,236.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Ramsay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Anne, Lady North (c. 1740-1797), wife of Frederick North, 2nd Baron North, three-quarter-length, in a pink dress and lace shawl with roses at her décolletage, and a lace headdress, by a column in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 421,250.00 (€ 535,202.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter Length, Seated At A Harpsichord, Holding A Sheet Of Music von Allan Ramsay zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Anne, Lady North (c. 1740-1797), wife of Frederick North, 2nd Baron North, three-quarter-length, in a pink dress and lace shawl with roses at her décolletage, and a lace headdress, by a column im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.250,00 (€ 535.202,87).
