Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Cecilia Craigie (b. 1727), half-length, in a white silk dress with pink ribbons and a pink wrap by Allan Ramsay was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2014. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,532.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Ramsay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Anne, Lady North (c. 1740-1797), wife of Frederick North, 2nd Baron North, three-quarter-length, in a pink dress and lace shawl with roses at her décolletage, and a lace headdress, by a column in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 421,250.00 (€ 535,202.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Cecilia Craigie (b. 1727), half-length, in a white silk dress with pink ribbons and a pink wrap von Allan Ramsay kam im Juli 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Anne, Lady North (c. 1740-1797), wife of Frederick North, 2nd Baron North, three-quarter-length, in a pink dress and lace shawl with roses at her décolletage, and a lace headdress, by a column im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.250,00 (€ 535.202,87).
