Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam, which included the work Collection of Sixteen Perfect Vehicles by Allan McCollum. It changed hands for a price of EUR 27,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Allan McCollum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Collection of One Hundred and Ninety-two Plaster Surrogates in September this year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 214,285.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit Collection of Sixteen Perfect Vehicles von Allan McCollum zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 27.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan McCollum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Collection of One Hundred and Ninety-two Plaster Surrogates im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 214.285,71).
